Absence (Moscow)

Latest work: In Absence (Moscow), a monochromatic mosaic is set within the arch of a distressed wall, two lines of tesserae tracing the outline of a central figure that is left unfilled: a void in the shape of a saint. The viewer, seeing not nothing, but a delineated absence, is confronted with a sense of emptiness and desire. Installed within ARTPLAY Design Center, Moscow.
